Big Hand for a Little Lady. This is a good movie for the more feminist viewers out there. A lady tries to win their savings back after her husband suffers a heart attack at his last hand in a poker game. The lady has never played a poker game in her whole life, but she has no choice. She must brave the odds and enter the male-dominated world of poker.

Poker. Like Big Hand for a Little Lady, this movie has a woman poker player in the story. The lead character is a female poker player that plays big with the men, but unfortunately, loses big money. To pay her poker debt, she steals money from her brother. This movie exposes the more dangerous side of poker, and shows that it's not all about winning.

Rounders. A 1998 movie, Rounders is regarded to be the most popular poker movie by many. Matt Damon and Ed Norton star in this movie. Ed Norton's character has a poker debt and needed the help of his friend Matt Damon's character to pay that debt. Matt Damon's character has already quit playing poker and is now going to law school, but he couldn't refuse to help his friends, so he comes back and plays again.

Du Shen. This is a movie about a legendary poker player by the name of Do San, who has supernatural powers which help him win poker games. He suffers a freak accident which leaves him mentally ill. Knife, Do San's, girlfriend and sidekick, is the one responsible for the accident. She takes care of him, and realizes that Do San has not lost his poker skills. Because of that, she drives Do San all around to play more poker.

House of games. In this film, lead character Margaret Ford needs to help her parents pay their gambling debts. Convinced by Mike, to whom her parents are indebted, she helps him spot the poker tells of other players, which is easy for her because she's a psychologist. She is much like Annie Duke, a woman poker player and also a psychologist.
