The first set of poker rules we should discuss would be those regarding different types of poker hands. According to official poker rules , the highest of all poker hands would have to be the royal flush.
A royal flush is made up of the cards A K Q J & 10 and all 5 cards must belong to the same suit. Next to the royal flush would be the straight flush. Based on poker rules, any poker hand that’s compromised of 5 cards with consecutive values and belonging to the same suit is called a straight flush.
The next set of poker rules you have to be familiar with would be poker rules regarding the blinds. Blinds, according to poker rules, are the initial bets posted by the players to the dealer’s left to start the ball rolling, so to speak. Poker rules require the player to the dealer’s left post the small blind. The player to the left of the one who posted the small blind is then assigned to post the big blind. According to official poker rules, if the small blind is $1, the big blind must be $2.
